Assisi was incredible!

The Train Ride There...great aside from the 50 euro fine each for not getting our tickets stamped because for some reason you can't just buy a ticket and go on a train, you need to use a tiny stupid machine to put a little stamp on the end of the ticket, but didn't let it ruin the trip

 Finally There

In front of Basilica di San Francesco

You aren't allowed to take pictures inside the basilica so God made all of these pictures blurry

This is where the God awful 5 mile journey uphill began to Eremo delle Carceri Assisi..here's some fun facts about this place we trekked to:
St. Francis and his disciples retired here for their prayers and meditations. In 1400 St. Bernardine of Siena erected a small convent and the church of S. Maria delle Carceri, which enlarged and incorporated the previous chapel.  Next to it is actually the cave where St. Francis lived, which was pretty cool, but it was getting dark and we couldn't make it to the other caves around it.

The house i'm going to buy my mother along with a complementary fiat and the amazing view below

Found a nice walking stick

I should be a professional photographer...no big deal

Finally the last leg to get there, which was only said like 30 times
Finally made it! Good thing its closed

So when we got there it was obviously closed because the whole world hates us, only like a 2 hour hike uphill.  However, the guy who was closing the gate grew a conscience and let us in but locked the gate behind us and told us to climb around it to leave and said not to tell anybody Haha.  In quotes "we are breaking and entering this s*** whether we get deported or not."

Right next to the chapel which they were holding a mass in,
with a solid 200 foot drop a solid inch away from me

Couldn't take enough pictures of the view, well worth the death walk

Taxi, which we thought was waiting for us at the gate, however he was waiting for nuns but he called us another cab thank God
Assisi moon

Overall an incredible experience.  Well worth the extra 50 euro fine from the gross italian train lady with the huge black fanny pack.  But didn't let that ruin our day and had an amazing time, the food, wine, sights, and of course the views were all incredible definitely would love to come back here some day.  Miss everyone wish you guys could have been with me!
